Beyond Empires

Beyond Empires offers a unique and immersive experience, allowing users to own and showcase one-of-a-kind digital characters, each with a captivating narrative that can be enriched over time through bespoke attributes. The project’s core mission is to empower users, enabling them to transform these digital characters into faithful extensions of their real-life personas. In addition to character ownership, users engage in an ongoing Web3 themed game where factions compete in weekly events to boost their ranking, accumulate Gold, and earn bragging rights.

Each NFT character possesses one of four distinct characteristics: Strategy, Combat, Diplomacy, and Labour, which determine their core abilities and skillsets within the game. These characteristics are assigned based on the NFT’s ‘clothing’ trait. Furthermore, NFT characteristics play a pivotal role in generating additional Gold for holders through daily, weekly, and ongoing points awarded for social media tasks and the number of NFTs held.

Beyond Empires also celebrates its rich storytelling tradition by transforming iconic moments from ancient Roman society into original comic strips, distributed as NFTs over time. The top 10% of NFT rarity holders receive limited edition collectible comic strips personally signed by the artist. As a community-driven project, Beyond Empires actively involves its members in shaping its future, with their own stories frequently featured in the comic strips.

Objective:

The primary objective of this project was to assume control over the existing development and address a multitude of technical issues. The goal was to modernize the platform using cutting-edge design technologies, optimise it for SEO, incorporate advanced 3D animations, and rapidly design and develop the website. Additionally, setting up the first email inboxes and migrating to a new hosting infrastructure were essential tasks to ensure a smooth user experience.
